Kamome does a brilliant job in designing and building the characters, story and concepts of the fantasy world of Witch Hat Atelier. The characters have their separate personalities and display realistic emotions which allow the characters the continually develop and become alive. The concepts of the world and the magic systems are not dumped onto the reader but gradually explained accompanied by illustrations similar to a bestiary book.

Overall, Witch Hat Atelier is a unique story that is in the top of our list that is worth picking up and reading. The beautifully crafted world leads the reader and the protagonist, Coco, into a mystical journey with themes of darkness and discovery.
