Yoshitoku × F:NEX's "Japanese Doll Figure" 15th edition features "Holo"

From F:NEX, Frue's high-quality hobby brand, comes "Holo" from "Spice and Wolf" in Japanese doll figure form. Both figures and Japanese dolls have lifelike faces. Holo's smiling figure, holding wheat, exudes elegance and beauty. The tail, flowing hair, and colorful flower decorations are meticulously crafted, capturing every detail. The costume prototype was created by the doll artisan.

To complement the flowing shape of the tail and incorporate the movements of Japanese dance into the hemline, we expressed a beautiful kimono tailored to Holo's slender, tall figure. Capturing a moment as graceful as a dance, it evokes Holo's light and breezy demeanor, as well as her innate dignity. The fabric for the furisode section is dyed using the "Katagami-zome" technique. Based on motifs representing the four seasons appropriate for the wise wolf of abundance, it is dyed in the noble color of "purple," known since ancient times, creating a fabric for the furisode that is both calm and vibrant. The fabric was dyed by the renowned Kyoto textile merchant, Nishimura Shoji Shoten, using a painstaking manual dyeing process to achieve a depth of color that cannot be replicated by machines. For the obi section, we used "Kinran" manufactured by the representative textile merchant of Kyoto, Tomono Shoten. By weaving various floral patterns into a white base and adding a refreshing lime green color, we added a touch of color to the elegant furisode attire.
